Facebook Setup

About 15 minutes

Follow each step carefully — we explain everything along the way!

Before You Start

  • Your Facebook login (email and password)
  • A Facebook Page for your organization
  • Admin access to that Facebook Page

Open Facebook for Developers

Go to the website

https://developers.facebook.com

Click the blue Log In button and enter your Facebook credentials.

Create Your App

  1. a. Click My Apps in the top-right corner
  2. b. Click the green Create App button
  3. c. Select Other, then click Next
  4. d. Select Business, then click Next
  5. e. Fill in your app name and email, then click Create app
✅ You should now see your App Dashboard

Add Facebook Login

  1. a. Scroll down to Add products to your app
  2. b. Find Facebook Login and click Set up
  3. c. Choose Web as the platform
  4. d. Enter your website URL and click Save

Set Up the Redirect URL

  1. a. In the left menu, click Facebook Login then Settings
  2. b. Find Valid OAuth Redirect URIs
  3. c. Enter this URL (replace YOUR-ORG with your site name):
https://YOUR-ORG.hablr.co/api/marketing/oauth/facebook/callback

Click Save Changes

Type this URL exactly as shown!

Get Your App ID and Secret

  1. a. In the left menu, click Settings then Basic
  2. b. Copy your App ID and save it
  3. c. Click Show next to App Secret, copy it and save it
Keep your App Secret private — it is like a password!

Make Your App Live

At the top of the page, find the switch that says In development. Click it to switch to Live mode. Follow any prompts to add a privacy policy URL.

Facebook is done! Send your App ID and App Secret to your administrator.
